This was an assignment given to me where I had to create book covers using the name of an 80’s song and feature line from the song itself. The challenge with this was that there was a spin, the song had to be something that could be spun into a horror book cover design.
For my first book, I chose the song, “Hungry Like the Wolf”, by Duran Duran. I felt that I really captured the horror feeling with this cover by using a scary wolf to add to the visual elements.
For my second cover, I chose the song, “I Think We’re Alone Now”, by Tiffany. I used a imagery of a girl with a balloon in a alley way with a dark entity. This was to present a real feeling of scary as all of us fear behind alone in a situation like this, especially as a kid.
